Herb Jackson Jr., Executive Producer of acclaimed short films like “Angel Fleet” starring British actress Darcy Jacobs and “Aguska,” is stepping behind the camera for the upcoming season of “Popfuzion Live.” The announcement marks a significant career move for Jackson, whose production studio, I Ain’t No Herb Jackson Studios, will be actively involved in shaping the show’s next eight episodes.
Jackson’s journey with Popfuzion TV began with on-screen hosting, a background that gives him a unique perspective on the show’s content and its appeal to viewers. “You could say that Popfuzion gave me my start,” Jackson said. “I signed up for their Red Carpet hosting class and graduated as a top student, earning me the right to host a segment on Popfuzion TV. Once the pandemic hit, they encouraged me to create my own content, and that’s how my first show, “5 Minutes with Herb,” was born. Over the years, we’ve kept in touch, and the opportunity presented itself to become an executive producer for the next eight episodes of Popfuzion Live.”
Popfuzion TV co-creator Francesca Ellana expressed excitement about the collaboration. “We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with I Ain’t No Herb Jackson Studios for an all-new season of our lifestyle show, Popfuzion Live,” Ellana stated. “Their vision aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver positive, uplifting content—and we can’t wait to bring you more inspiring stories together.”
Jackson’s film credits, including the recent 2024 releases “Angel Fleet,” a family drama directed by Tristan Loraine, and “Aguska,” an inspirational short about sports and teamwork also directed by Loraine, have garnered attention within the industry. His experience working with notable actors and producers will be valuable in shaping the celebrity-focused segments of “Popfuzion Live.”
In his new role as Executive Producer for the upcoming season, Jackson will participate in production meetings and contribute to guest selection, bringing his understanding of celebrity culture and audience engagement to the forefront. “I can’t wait for the chance to dive into the stories that will unfold,” Jackson said. “Being part of the production process and having a seat at the table is going to be such a unique experience. I bring a unique perspective and deep understanding of the brand that will be valuable to the new season of Popfuzion Live.”
Popfuzion TV’s focus on positive celebrity news and uplifting stories aligns with Jackson’s own creative sensibilities. The network, known for highlighting individuals making positive impacts, will benefit from Jackson’s insider knowledge of the entertainment industry.
Production for the upcoming season of “Popfuzion Live” is set to begin soon, with episodes scheduled to air this spring.
