Australian singer/songwriter Gabriella Cilmi has wowed fans with a new, re-imagined version of her Christmas single ‘Warm This Winter’ – a cover of the classic Connie Fisher track ‘I’m Gonna Be Warm This Winter’.
On Christmas Day, Cilmi surprised her followers with a live Instagram video, in which she sang the famous Christmas tune, accompanied by her brother and songwriting partner Joseph Cilmi.
Many of Cilmi’s fans commented their views on the live. One fan said ‘My favourite Christmas song ever. Puts a smile on my face whenever I hear it. Cheers, Gabriella!’
With another writing ‘What a performance, very special voice, Merry Christmas Gab!’.
The ‘Sweet About Me’ songstress returned with a more mature and authentic sound last year, and was her first solo release since album ‘The Sting’ in 2014. Gabriella also performed at a sold out gig at St Pancras Church in London last year.
Cilmi shot to fame at a very young age and enjoyed chart success after chart success around the globe with other hit singles including ‘Sweet About Me’ and ‘On A Mission’. She also bagged herself six ARIA Music Awards, including ‘Best Female Artist’ and ‘Single Of The Year’ in 2008.
