After getting himself extremely injured on the set of Maze Runner: The Death Cure, fans have been worried that Dylan O’Brien would not be playing Stiles Stilinski anymore. In fact, at one point there were rumours that Harry Styles would be replacing him. We love Harry but could anybody possibly replace Dylan O’Brien and do a bang up job of it? Most definitely not.
Luckily for us, it has been revealed that Dylan will be in Season 6 of Teen Wolf and it turns out that Stiles is an even more crucial role to the show this time round. You still feeling uncertain about Dylan’s presence? No need to worry, we’ve got the proof you need right here for you!
“Stiles is a big part of the season because a lot of this season’s mystery involves around him. We’re going to see just what Stiles’ friendship means to Scott, Lydia and Malia. We’re going to see why exactly he’s Scott’s best friend, and what it means that he’s Malia’s human anchor and what his will-they-or-won’t-they relationship is with Lydia.” Jeff Davis says.
Jeff has always said that putting Stiles at the centre of the Season 6 mystery was always his plan. Even after the Maze Runner incident, Jeff hasn’t changed his mind. “When we were going into discussing this season, knowing that Dylan O’Brien had a big movie he was going off to do, we wanted to make sure that Stiles was going to be a big part of Teen Wolf 6A.”
Jeff has said that everyone is going to have to reanalyse their relationship with Stiles this season but didn’t go in to many details as to what he meant by that. Pretty sure the only word everyone has in their minds right about now is STYDIA.
Tyler Posey spoke up about Scott and Stiles’ relationship recently. “Everybody has a lot of reflecting to do. It’s beautiful. It’s so cool what we do. You fall in love with Stiles every episode. It really makes you think about all the cool s–t that we’ve done with Scott and Stiles over the past few years so it’s a very reminiscent season.” He also adds an update regarding Scott and Stiles friendship due to Season 5 being a bumpy road for the two of them. “They’re very in love with each other.” Aww our favourite TW bromance is sky rocketing again!
