The 1975 has grown from being a small town group in the UK into an alternative-rock success known worldwide. The group met in 2002 and released their first two EP’s in 2012, which included one of their first singles “The City”. Once BBC Radio 1 played an EP single titled “Chocolate” the band became known by thousands. Since the release of their first album, The 1975, the group has toured the United States as well as several cities throughout the UK and Europe.
Lead singer Matty Healy, alongside his bandmates George Daniel, Adam Hann, and Ross MacDonald, have announced the release of their newest album on February 26, 2016. I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It: the album title couldn’t be more poetic. The 1975 have tour dates scheduled throughout Europe and the US during the first half of 2016. You can look here to see if they will be visiting a city near you!
