Congratulations, Gigi Hadid! It seems as though a childhood dream of Gigi’s has been fulfilled, judging by her reaction towards the news that she was chosen to be an Angel in the VS Fashion Show.
Late last Thursday evening, fans got an inside glimpse of beautiful Gigi Hadid’s audition for the infamous Victoria’s Secret Angel role for the 2015 Fashion Show. A 15 second video posted by Victoria’s Secret’s twitter page (@VictoriasSecret ), shows the blond, vibrant Gigi, strutting a black bra and panties to match, in front of producers of the show. The executive producer of the show, Ed Razek, asked, “What are you doing on November 9th, and 10th?” Once the question was asked, it was clear that Gigi knew she had been chosen to participate in the momentous event, her saying, “I don’t know?” sheepishly. Razek went on to say, “Why don’t you come and join us?” Gigi almost simultaneously fell to her knees, and started sobbing, just barely squeezing out the word, “Really?!” The tweet was captioned, “We ? surprises so here’s a BIG one for @GiGiHadid at the #VSFashionShow castings! See you on the runway, Gigi ?” Any onlooker could tell that this was an extremely emotional, meaningful moment for Gigi. She immediately ran to give Razek a hug.
Gigi also posted a photo on her Instagram, showing her reaction, writing, “Couldn’t keep back my tears!!!! Anyone that grew up with me knows that getting this show has been a dream of mine forever! THANK YOU @victoriassecret & @ed_razek! One of the happiest moments of my life. #vsfashionshow2015”
