Congratulations to former Glee star Becca Tobin and her boyfriend, Zach Martin, who just announced their engagement.
Tobin revealed that Zach Martin had popped the question during her podcast show The LadyGang. She told her two co-hosts Keltie Knight and Jac Vanek, “I got engaged!” She elaborated saying, “This hurts me so much because this [attention] is the part of being engaged that I don’t want, so this is painful for me.”
When Knight and Vanek told her they thought she was kidding, she said, “Every single person thought I was kidding. I thought he was kidding when he had the ring in front of my face! I thought it was fake.” We don’t have an extravagant story. I told him I would, like, castrate him if he did anything crazy. I really didn’t want, like, a thing, so it was, like, really perfect for me. So there you go. One day I’ll tell the story.”
Tobin didn’t want to share any details about how Martin proposed, but she revealed that it was perfect. She said, “We don’t have an extravagant story. One thing she promised not to do is post a sappy Instagram picture of her boyfriend. She told her co-hosts, “You’ll never ever see a post where I say I’m so excited to marry my best friend or any of that garbage it makes my stomach churn.”
Tobin showed off her ring on Sunday at the Shaky Knees music festival.
