Since we are well into the summer now, we thought that we’d put together a list of summer must listen to albums!
Nothing To Lose by Emblem3
This album is full of summer songs! The album was released back in 2013 and I still find myself going to it throughout the year but especially during the summer months. With songs such as Chloe (You’re The One I Want), Love LA and Just For One Day, it’s easy to have a party with this album. Although it can be hard to get hold of outside America, it’s worth it if you can!
Better Weather by With Confidence
With Confidence have been ever-growing in popularity lately and it’s not hard to see why! Their debut album Better Weather is an absolute work of art. Fans of this band from all over the world love this album. It’s jam packed of songs that inspire the fans with the beautiful lyrics. They are definitely a band to look out for as they keep getting bigger and bigger.
Handwritten by Shawn Mendes
Shawn Mendes is very much a household name these days, the now eighteen year old is definitely taking over the world. With good reason too. Handwritten was released last year and is definitely one for summer nights where you want to just have a little bit of a chill out session. Full of absolutely beautiful, acoustic driven songs, this album is good for a relaxation session in the evening.
Scouting For Girls by Scouting For Girls
Scouting For Girls stormed onto the music scene back in 2007 and haven’t really left since. Their self titled album is full of songs that you can jam out to during the summer. The stand out song being She’s So Lovely which is good for a good dance. There is also songs such as James Bond, Keep On Walking and Heartbeat. You know it’s summer when you hear She’s So Lovely on the radio!
My Everything by Ariana Grande
Even though this album is going on two years old, we still find ourselves playing it. Well, why wouldn’t with when it contains songs such as One Last Time and Problem?! My Everything is a very good album if you’re ready to sing at the top of your lungs and have a good dance around your room.
Dangerous Woman by Ariana Grande
Carrying on with the Ariana Grande hype, I’ve got two words for you all; DANGEROUS WOMAN. Dangerous Woman absolutely knocked it out of the park! When this album was released, Ariana went from being some people’s guilty pleasure to a full fled obsession! This album contains complete hits such as the title track; Dangerous Woman and Into You, both of which have soared the charts.
Blush by Moose Blood
Maybe less known that some names on this list, they are still very worth a mention on the list. The British rock band recently released Blush and it is a real good album! It’s got a wonderful rocky vibe to it and is definitely worth a listen this summer. And, just look at how beautiful the artwork is for it!
Calibraska EP by Jack & Jack
Vine sensations Jack & Jack released this EP last week and it’s always good for a summer’s day! Head track, California, did very well among fans and is still a very powerful track on this EP. California is joined by How We Livin’, Shallow Love and Wrong One which back it up very well. So, if you’re out in your garden in the sunshine, why not stick this EP on and enjoy the summer vibes?!
TRXYE by Troye Sivan
Since starting YouTube, Troye Sivan has grown more and more. This got bigger and better when he started releasing music and that all started here with TRXYE. To this day, it still is worth listening to when you want to relax and listen to some good music. This EP was very popular with fans and definitely gained him more, a beautiful EP for a summer evening.
Blue Neighbourhood by Troye Sivan
Following the success of TRXYE came Blue Neighbourhood. Similar, this album is a very good album for a summer night if you’re ready to just have a relax and some good music. All of the songs have a good message behind them and are good if you want to just sit down and listen. Although, you don’t have to think about the messages just to enjoy this album, have fun listening on a beautiful summer’s night!
Echo Park by Feeder
This album is over fifteen years old now but it is still a very good album! Feeder are a rock band that are still very popular. This album does hold there most popular song, Buck Rogers which is one of those songs that everyone knows without knowing who it’s by. It’s definitely worth a listen if you need a good rock out in your bedroom on a summer’s day.
Badlands by Halsey
Halsey is an artist that you either like or you don’t but nobody can deny how talented she is! Badlands is such an amazing album and the lyrics are just beautiful. It’s another album to just stick on when you’re having a nice chilled out afternoon either sat in the garden or just in the house. Halsey is definitely a wonderful summer artist.
Sounds Good Feels Good by 5 Seconds of Summer
Sounds Good Feels Good is an all year round album and summer falls into that! This album is jam packed full of beautiful songs as well as high tempo suited for a dance songs. With hits such as Money, She’s Kinda Hot, Permanent Vacation and then slow, powerful songs such as Jet Black Heart, this album is perfect. Why not have a sing at the top of your longs to 5SOS?! You know you want to.
Made In The AM by One Direction
Like Sounds Good Feels Good, Made In The AM is an all year round album! It’s perfect for if you’re up in the very early hours of the morning watching the sunrise. Especially A.M, that’s a beautiful song to listen to in the very early hours. There are many big hits on this album such as Drag Me Down, Perfect and History. Close your eyes and just listen to this masterpiece of an album during the summer nights and early mornings.
All This Bad Blood by Bastille
Bastille will forever be appreciated with fans. Pompeii is still a very big hit that people still jam to and the whole album does that for a lot of people. The album is full of high tempo hits such as The Things We Lost In The Fire and Bad Blood. It’s a family album that the whole family can listen to and enjoy during the day or in the evenings.
I Like It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It by The 1975
The 1975 definitely did not disappoint when they brought out this album. The singles still waver near the charts as they’re always high in demand. This album didn’t just impress the fans either, it was very popular with people who don’t consider themselves huge fans. This album really has served well and it’s a great summer album!
American Candy by The Maine
Like some other names on the list, The Maine might not be as well known as some. That being said, they most definitely deserve a place on this list. Since the album came out early last year, it’s been very popular with fans of The Maine and we highly recommend you give it a listen!
SWAAY by DNCE
DNCE have become a household name very quickly since they stormed onto the scene last year. Everyone wanted to listen to what Joe Jonas now had to offer us and they haven’t stopped since. SWAAY has been very popular since it’s release and is maybe the most summery, high tempo album listed!
Meet The Vamps by The Vamps
Yes, I know, this album came out two and a half years ago. BUT, this album is such a good one for the summer! It’s full of high-tempo, feel good songs that will have you dancing all night! From Can We Dance, Wildheart and Last Night down to Another World, Risk It All and She Was The One; you’ll be dancing through the whole thing. If it’s a bright, sunny day, stick this album on and dance away!
1989 by Taylor Swift
And last but no means least on the list; 1989! Since it’s release, this album has created a lot of opinions across people but nobody can deny that you can have a good dance to it! Shake It Off is the best summer song, an easy dance to track for a summer’s day out in the garden! If you’re ready for a big dance there’s Welcome To New York and if you’re ready to cool down a little there’s Clean and Wildest Dreams!
