More new music from alumni of The X Factor, this time it’s Gregor Coleman, and it’s been quite the wait as he has been teasing his collaboration for some time. He features on the brand new track by Don Mills, titled “Could It Be You”. It follows up Don Mills’ previous release “Overtime” which featured JRDN, and Gregor Coleman’s “Over Me” single.

Don Mills, who is also known as Milos Angelov, is from Toronto, Canada but was born in Belgrade, Serbia, and is a multi-platinum record producer, songwriter, and musician. He studied classical music as a violinist when he was young, becoming a percussionist at Stankovic Music School and even performed with the Belgrade Youth Symphony. He moved to Toronto as a teenager and has built his career ever since. In high school, he was a rock drummer before transitioning to bass guitar. He has worked with the likes of Juice WRLD, Klingande, CAZZETTE, TUJAMO, Matthew Good, and more. He debuted his own solo work in 2019 with the release of his official first single “Overtime” featuring JRDN, and this new single, “Could It Be You” is his official second single.

As for Gregor Coleman, he is best known for being on the 14th season of The X Factor, where he made it as far as the Six Chair Challenge. He has been building his career since leaving the show and it’s been working out in his favour. His catchy debut track “Too Good To Me” has over 100,000 Spotify streams and counting, with his follow-up “Over Me” climbing up slowly and surely along with the acoustic version of his debut track. His vocals are on point in all three single releases to date and we’re excited to see where his career takes him as he is a talent that deserves the spotlight.

According to Spotify, the song was written by Gregor Hunter Coleman, Irina Angelov, James Thomas Edgar, and Milos Angelov, whilst it was produced by Don Mills. To accompany the track, a lyric video for the song was also released on Don Mills’ official YouTube Channel.

Check Out Don Mills’ Lyric Video For His Single “Could It Be You” Featuring Gregor Coleman Here:

As millennials are now adults and Generation Z are becoming adults, there are less and less people communicating through calls. These generations grew up around technology, which has been advancing at a rapid pace in the last decade and so other communications are preferred over the generic phone call, and so this song takes that one moment in time when the phone actually rings, late at night, and Gregor Coleman sings about hoping it’s his lover. His voice is pure with an indie vibe going on whilst showcasing a more mature vocal – he sure has come a long way since his days on The X Factor. As for the production on the track, Don Mills makes an impact with an unforgettable rhythm that wraps around Gregor Coleman’s voice brilliantly.

“Could It Be You” is available to download and stream right now, through Politik Records.
