Grenfell Tower Charity Single Released

The Grenfell Tower fire has impacted on many individuals. In order to raise money for those affected by the tragedy, a charity single – arranged by Simon Cowell – has been released.

The single is a cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s hit ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water.’

More than 50 artists were involved in the single – including Louis Tomlinson, Rita Ora, Ella Eyre, and many others who all came together to record the single.

Just six days ago, Simon Cowell tweeted about his plan to bring out a single to help those affected by the disaster, saying:

‘We hope to confirm a record tomorrow which will raise some money for the many people affected by this tragedy. Making calls tonight.’

A few hours after the single’s release on June 21, Simon again tweeted thanking the public for their support, saying:

‘Thank you to everyone for their help and support in making this happen.’

The single is already sitting in the Number 1 position, with all proceeds from the single going to those affected. Matt Terry, winner of ‘The X Factor’ in 2016 thanked everyone for their support with the single.

For those in the UK, Simon Cowell also confirmed that a video for the single is set to be released this evening (June 21) before Coronation Street.

The single can be bought from iTunes by clicking here – or through alternative music streaming applications.
