Gwen Stefani may not be a coach on the upcoming season of The Voice, but this does not stop her from making a guest appearance on the show. Blake Shelton recently announced that he is bringing back Stefani as a celebrity mentor on season 10!
As a coach on the show, Blake Shelton is given the opportunity to bring in one celebrity to help mentor his contestants. Shelton made the quick and easy decision to bring in girlfriend, Gwen Stefani to offer her advice. Stefani has previously been on two seasons of the show, where she was coaching alongside Shelton. He has been a coach on the show continuously since season 1.
In late 2014, season 7 of The Voice began and Stefani was added as a coach. At this time, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were both married to other people. Shelton was married to country singer Miranda Lambert, and Stefani was married to English rock artist Gavin Rossdale.
In July of 2015, Shelton and Lambert decided to file for divorce. This decision was quickly followed up in August when Stefani split from husband Gavin Rossdale.
Gwen Stefani returned for season 9 of The Voice on September 21, 2015. She and Blake Shelton had an obvious connection, and many sources claimed that the pair were dating. By November, Shelton and Stefani had gone public with their relationship.
After being together for 3 months, the couple is stronger and more open than ever. We are anxiously waiting to see what the future holds for these two phenomenal performers.
