Hailee Steinfeld has just dropped the music video for her feisty new single “Most Girls.”
The latest from the 20-year-old is a catchy, inspiring anthem and she picture-perfectly executed that same theme for the track’s visual. After a date outwardly tells Steinfeld she is not like “most girls,” she channels a variety of looks – from rocking oversized reading glasses to donning blonde hair, a look we’re actually obsessed with.
Shutting down all the misconceptions people assume about the female gender, the Pitch Perfect 3 actress makes it a point to address that there is no correct or incorrect way to exist in your body or live your life.
“Most girls are smart and strong and beautiful / Most girls work hard, go far, we are unstoppable / Most girls, our fight to make every day / No two are the same,” she sings alongside a group of unique women repping t-shirts with unique personality traits.
“This song deals with so many conversations that are happening in the world right now with women,” Steinfeld revealed to Elvis Duran in a recent interview about the rising hit. “Funny enough, it stemmed from the comment that guys will make when complimenting a woman by saying ‘you’re not like most girls.’ And, that was said to me recently and I thought about it and as much as I wanted to accept it as a compliment, I thought ‘what part of me is not like the amazingness in all women?'”
