Former Ford Model and current Heroes Model Hailey Baldwin is setting the record straight about her rumored relationship with pop sensation Justin Bieber.
Appearing on one of the five covers of Marie Claire’s May issue, Hailey took to the glossy pages inside to shine some light on her romance with the pop singer.
Rumors of Hailey and Justin’s relationship began over the 2015 Christmas and New Year’s holidays, when the two began posting photos to their social media accounts.
The photos featured Justin and Hailey vacationing together off on a tropical island. Rumors reached their peak when Justin posted a picture to his Instagram back in January of the two locked in a passionate kiss, presumably ringing in the new year.
Ever since, Hailey has received an influx of hate, mostly from those still harboring hope for #Jelena (Justin and Selena Gomez). And although she has become more known thanks to him, she only wants to be known for her work, not who she’s dating.
“I don’t want attention out of dating somebody. Texts started coming through, crazy phone calls…it’s hard to date somebody in this industry,” Hailey explained. “You have to have really thick skin and be very strong. You have to focus on the person and nothing else.”
Hailey previously told E! News that she and Justin aren’t completely together, telling them “we are not an exclusive couple.” She was also quoted as saying “relationships at this age are already complicated, but I don’t really like to talk about it because it’s between me and him.”
It would appear that Justin, who is currently on a 64-show world tour, and Hailey, who is currently covering magazines back-to-back, are having trouble making their strained semi-relationship work. As of March 2016, in fact, Stephen Baldwin‘s daughter is “totally single.”
Whatever the two are doing, we wish them both luck and hope they find happiness.
