Earlier this evening, American electropop singer Halsey announced that she would be canceling her Lollapalooza aftershow on July 30.
The 21-year-old took to Twitter to deliver the following news to her almost 2.7 million followers:

The aftershow, which was set to take place later this month at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, was set to be one of the venues for Halsey’s almost-over Badlands Tour. The concert will be fully refunded to all ticket buyers, but even so, some fans understandably express unhappy sentiments over the seemingly sudden decision:
i get you want to give the best show to your fans but this is a huge letdown

Other fans express their support for the singer, applauding her wanting to give her fans the best experience she can possibly provide.
thank you for being honest and making sure your art is at the standard it deserves to be ???

Ultimately, Halsey has tried to prove to her fans how important her music is to her. The cancellation of the Lollapalooza aftershow was decided in a quest to give her fans the type of performance she felt they deserved –– and nothing less.
The Badlands Tour, which starred as Halsey’s first headlining tour, started last September in San Diego, CA. The tour is officially set to end on August 21 of this year in Weston-under-Lizard, England.
