Austin-based hard/alternative artist, Hanna Barakat has released her new single, “Wildfire,” ahead of her upcoming album, “Siren,” out August 16th. The single and album are produced by bassist John Moyer from the hard rock band Disturbed
Barakat was born in Texas to a Lebanese father and American mother and spent her early years traveling around the world with her family. She attended Berklee College of Music, where she studied Arabic music.
Her style mixes Arab-oriental influences with hard rock that creates a genuine connection with her audience.
“Wildfire” is about her personal experience of immigrating her husband from Lebanon to the US. The tone is hopeful in the end, but intense and emotional throughout.
