For the last week, YouTuber Hannah Hart has took to her Instagram to tease us with what appeared to be a countdown, but to what we weren’t entirely sure…
As you can see below, they seemed to be excerpts from something though it was only in her new video released today – titled ‘BIG SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT‘ – that she expressed what it all meant.
During the over five minute upload, the Internet star nervously revealed how over the last year she has been writing a “series of autobiographical essays and narrative tales from [her] life and experiences leading up to now” which she has combined to form as a book called ‘BUFFERING: Unshared Tales of a Life Fully Loaded’.
This new book will be the comedian’s second addition to the publishing world having previously released the amusing ‘My Drunk Kitchen: A Guide to Eating, Drinking, and Going with Your Gut’ back in summer 2014. However, Hannah has described ‘BUFFERING’ as being “so different” from her first book in that it captures her attempt of sharing personal stories about “family, work, friendship, mental health, mental illness, body, body confidence, body image, sex and love… and faith” as well as some resources for readers to make use of.
During the recent upload to YouTube, Hannah shared a snippet from the book about herself aged nineteen, reading aloud: “Sometimes I hear my father’s voice saying that the devil wants us to misplace our anger that we have at this system of things and point it towards God. It makes me feel wicked and wretched to be angry because our creator has not wronged me, the weakness and the wrongness has always been in myself” before noting how the book contains what she deems as “really fun, repressed sh*t.”
The star who dabbles in acting also shared with her nearly 2.5 million subscribers in the video how her new book is available for pre-order and will be in stores by 18th October. Whilst encouraging her viewers to click the pre-order link – which you can find here (you’re welcome) – it was extremely obvious that the 29-year-old is incredibly anxious and excited about this next step in her life; even discussing breathing techniques her therapist has taught her when trying to calm herself down. But we don’t think she has anything to worry about considering she is already a New York Times bestselling author. Nevertheless, we wish her the best of luck with it!
