August 29th 1993 = the day that Liam James Payne came in to the world.
Sending the hugest amount of love and happiness to one of our favourite lads, Liam Payne as he celebrates his 22nd birthday today. We can’t believe he is already 22!
To celebrate Liam’s birthday, here we have 22 reasons why we just absolutely love him.
1.Liam never gives up. Ever heard the saying “if at first you don’t succeed, try and try again”. Well that is definitely something that Liam has used in his life. Take his journey through The X Factor as an example. If you didn’t already know, Liam auditioned first time around on the show in 2008 as a 14 year old little cutie. He made it all the way to Judges Houses but sadly did not progress any further. However, this did not stop our Payno as he came back to audition in 2010 and well the rest is history, he ended up in the biggest band in the world. RESULT.
2. Of course an obvious reason why we love Liam is because of his infectious personality. From day one, he’s been the nicest guy ever and his positivity definitely spreads around to other people.
3.Another obvious reason is that our Liam is definitely easy on the eyes. Oh yes, Liam is a hottie.
4.But the fella is not just a pretty face. He’s got one hell of a voice on him. Liam’s vocals are something incredibly special and he is one VERY talented young man.
5.He has often said that if he wasn’t in One Direction, he would of liked to have been a fireman because he liked the idea of saving lives. Well, Liam did just that when his best pal Andy was accidentally set on fire. Liam was with Andy at the time and saved him by doing everything he could to put out the flames. He’s a real life hero.
6.Out of all of the One Direction boys, Liam has always been the one to have the most long lasting relationships. His current lovely lady, Sophia Smith, is an absolute beauty. Liam’s love for Sophia is something we definitely love about him. The two are never over the top with PDA, but now and again we get lovely photos of the pair snapped together or Liam defends Sophia on Twitter against trolls. He is definitely the dream boyfriend and I think everyone deserves to have a Liam Payne in their lives!
7.Now this one is a bit of a throwback but it is something that could not go unnoticed. Who remembers Liam’s adorable twitcams? Ahhh, those were the days. I think every 1D fan has a lot of love for those twitcams and loved seeing Liam say and do some silly things. Liam, if you’re reading, please do another twitcam again soon, for old times sake.
8.The love he has for fans. Whether he is thanking us in his speeches on tour or being as lovely as ever when meeting various fans on the streets, he’s always so generous with fans. Just the other day, he was buying pizza for fans who he was unable to meet. He appreciates every single fan in the world and it’s so so cute.
9.Liam is never ever one to shy away from a good on-stage costume either. Especially on this years OTRA tour, we’ve seen Liam dress up as a ballerina and wear silly little hats and stuff. Ahh, he’s just adorable.
10.Now one memorable moment that can never ever be forgotten is Liam’s most famous fall. Last year when the boys performed at Croke Park as part of their Where We Are stadium tour, Liam took a rather big and hilarious fall whilst performing Best Song Ever. We’re glad Liam is okay but I think everyone has to admit, the fall was classic. I think the best part of the fall is is that Liam never took it too seriously (even though it embarrassingly happened in front of thousands of fans). He even still has a joke about it today as this year seems to be Harry and Niall’s year for the famous falls. If you haven’t seen Liam fall over then watch it here:
11.Whenever anyone is drunk, it certainly makes things that little bit more funny. Liam definitely is a funny drunk and we love him for it.
12.Liam has often posted silly things on Instagram and we adore him for it. Last year we saw him be a little tease and take a picture of himself supposedly naked and he blurred out the bottom area. And this year his Instagram appears to have been filled with a few dubsmash videos and they are hysterical! Our personal favourite would have to be the Friends inspired one where he is with Sophia.

13.Remember back in the day when Liam never had any tattoos? Well it’s now 2015 and Liam has quite the little collection of tats. The thing about Liam’s tattoos though is that they’re not anything that we think would be anything to regret in the future. You can tell all of his tattoos clearly mean something to him and we think they’re all fab!
14.We’re at reason number 14 now and we thought we’d keep it simple. Reason number 14 why we love Liam Payne is his smile.
15.One thing about Liam is that he is very good on Twitter and keeping up with fans. However, some of his tweets are definitely on the funnier side of things and some of them are now considered to be iconic inside jokes within the One Direction fanbase.
16.The mammoth On The Road Again tour has went all across the world this year and finishes this October. During this tour, it appears that Liam and Louis appear to take part in many water fights. We think it’s so funny how these two just constantly play fight with each other and we love Liam for always being a good sport and putting up with Louis’ naughty little antics.
17.This reason is another simple reason and that is Liam’s laugh. We love seeing Liam laughing and being so happy and his laugh is just enough to get everyone else in stitches.

18.Over the years, Liam has had many different hairstyles and we love them all. It’s always great when you can tell which year something happened because all you have to do is look at Liam’s hair.
19.Liam’s friendship with the other One Direction lads is something everyone can see. You can tell how much he loves his boys and even since the departure of Zayn in March, he has always still spoke very highly of him. We just love the brotherhood between these lads. “I always wanted a little brother, now I’ve got four of them”.
20. His style. Liam’s style has definitely evolved throughout the years of One Direction and he definitely owns it with whatever he wears. We literally can’t fault him. As each year has went on, Liam’s style has adapted to how himself and the band are growing and maturing. Whether he looks super casual or extremely dapper in a suit, Liam always manages to look good!
21. Liam is forever doing stuff in aid of charities. He’s donated money and raised awareness for the likes of Trekstock, Believe in Magic and Comic Relief. Recently he attended the Cinderella Ball which Louis was the host of in London, and Liam got his face painted to raise money for the charity Believe in Magic. What a gem.
22.Liam is undoubtedly the glue for the band and the fans. Whenever there has been something on the negative side happen, Liam has constantly been the one to reassure everyone that everything will be okay and we can’t thank Liam enough for that. He’s got the biggest heart and he totally 100% cares for the fans and without him, I’m sure the One Direction fanbase would all go mentally insane. He always knows the right thing to say and when to say it. Whenever there is drama, we can always count on Liam for a lovely long twitlonger. He’s the glue, the rock and the heart.

For the past five years now I’ve been part of something so special I don’t think any of us really understand, something that can mean the world to people and put a smile on the face of our fans even in the darkest times. To a lot of people it’s just a bunch of silly kids in a band but to the people involved it means so much more. This last week has been some of the worst times, possibly the worst something we are all deeply saddened by. It’s sad to think for the time being we won’t grace the stage as five bros or have the same fun on a tour bus or laughs in a hotel together that we have over the years but I’m super sure us and zayn will always remain the closest friends. When we very 1st became successful we all agreed that one direction had become much bigger than each individual member that’s why I feel like right now it’s ok to be sad and upset but I do ask everyone who is a fan of us to please keep ur faith in us I’m sure there’s a lot more to come all love Liam”

The other day you tweeted “I’m just here to make people smile I kinda consider it my job role” and Liam you definitely do that on a day to day basis. We loved the young boy we first fell in love with on The X Factor and we’re still head over heels for the young man that you are becoming. Now have a brilliant 22nd birthday, we love you!
