With hits such as Skater Boi, Girlfriend, and Here’s To Never Growing Up, Avril Lavigne has always had a place in our playlists. But there’s more to her than just her spunky side.
In honor of her 31st birthday, Avril has once again showed her huge heart. Continuing her tradition of asking her fans to donate to worthy causes as the greatest gift they can give her. This year, helping children and families with Lyme disease get care they need but can’t afford.
She tweeted out the Prizeo link earlier, letting fans know how close this cause is to her with a touching note. Upon donation, you get rewards, such as signed merch, and your name in a contest.
One lucky winner will get to have a line in Avril’s latest film- Charming, a sneak peek at the animation, a signed script, and the chance to meet Avril herself. Quite the prize, indeed and it’s for such a good cause.
The Avril Lavigne Foundation has been helping children in need of medical care since it was founded in 2010. She even founded a summer camp, Camp S.T.A.R.S., for low income children with disabilities. Each summer since 2012, Avril has given these kids a summer to remember.
