Morgan Freeman turns 79 today and he is one of Hollywood’s most beloved actors. He has starred in numerous films in his long career and the public have fallen in love with him, from comic book fans to casual movie-goers.
At CelebMix, we love it when it is a celebrity’s birthday because that means we get to write particularly fun articles to celebrate their special day. Lucius Fox (The Dark Knight trilogy)
As Batman’s ally and supplier of high tech gadgets which enable Gotham’s hero to save the city from chaos. Comic book fans have warmed to Freeman’s character and the way he plays him with ease which soothes the audience throughout the film.
Ellis Boyd ‘Red’ Redding (The Shawshank Redemption)
Possibly one of his most high profile roles to date so far. Although the film was initially a disappointment at the box office, Morgan’s acting as ‘Red’ was phenomenal and the film has since received positive reviews from both the critics and public.
God (Bruce Almighty)
This is where Morgan Freeman literally plays God and does it so well that it’s believable. His comedic timing and ease as God is both hilarious and great to watch!
Vitruvius (The Lego Movie)
The Lego Movie was a huge success and Morgan Freeman added to it by playing the old, blind wizard who is one of the Master Builders in the movie. His voice acting was superb and played the comedy character absolutely perfectly.
