Today is the day!! July 18th and exactly 43 years ago, Mark Sinclair was born. Oh, wait… we mean Vin Diesel was born. Sorry about that!

You didn’t?? Well, it is also his birthday!!
Vin Diesel is an actor, director, producer and screenwriter. He started acting in 1990. However, in 1997, Vin starred in The Strays which got selected for the 1997 Sundance Festival. In addition to starring in the film, he wrote, produced and directed the film. Vin also raised almost $50,000 through telemarketing to fund the film.
In 1999, Vin entered the hearts of little children when he voiced the main character in animated film, The Iron Giant. After The Iron Giant, Vin started us all on a journey through his characters on the big screen. He has been known as:
Richard B. Riddick in Pitch Black
Dominic Toretto in The Fast and the Furious franchise
Xander Cage in xXx
And last but not least, Groot from Marvel’s Guardian of the Galaxy
These last few years have been busy for Vin. He lost friend and Fast and Furious co-star, Paul Walker but also welcomed his third child into his family. However, even through his personal happiness and sadness, Vin still gave himself to his fans through his characters.
Furthermore, Vin will be returning as Groot for the sequel to Marvel’s Guadian of the Galaxy. It has also been announced that Dominic Toretto will lead us in at least two more films in The Fast and the Furious franchise. Vin will also be reprising his role as Xander Cage for the third installment of xXx.
