The name Harry Styles is synonymous with talent, passion, and superstardom. Since the beginning of One Direction’s time together, he’s carried himself with a kindness that few people in this world possess and it’s kept him humble and compassionate. Harry has never once taken for granted the blessings he has, and it’s likely because he knows he worked hard for all of them. Being part of the biggest band in the world for the last six years meant a lot of traveling, fun, and also some stress. Having his friends around to experience it together made it comfortable, and normal – as normal as it could be. Now, Harry is taking on the entertainment world on his own, as One Direction is officially on hiatus as a band, and it’s something new entirely.
Being part of the biggest band in the world for the last six years meant a lot of traveling, a lot of fun, and also some stress. Being part of One Direction meant having friends along for the ride – ones who experienced all of the highs, and the lows, together. Now, Harry is taking on the entertainment world on his own, as One Direction is officially on hiatus as a band, and it’s something new entirely.
Just two weeks ago, Harry’s first solo single ‘Sign of the Times’ debuted and was an instant success. While the song resonated differently with longtime fans, it also brought in a new audience of listeners for him. A week later, Harry sang ‘Ever Since New York’ during his first solo spot as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live. The song, again, was a hit and fans haven’t stopped talking about his music. Nor can they wait for his album debut on May 12th.
Today, Harry performed for the first time as a solo artist in the UK on The Graham Norton Show and we couldn’t be more proud of him. He not only nailed every note during ‘Sign of the Times’, he was incredible as he talked to the Graham and the other guests. As usual, his dimpled smile gracing our televisions is always a reason to celebrate.
Harry smiled as he was asked questions about a tour – he wants to do one, even if his album only has ten songs – and his new tattoo(s). He told the audience that his ‘Jackson’ tattoo is a nod to being a God Father to Cal Aurand’s son. He also shrugged and smiled when Graham asked if Harry would sing One Direction songs on his solo tour, you know, to fill up space during the concerts.

He also laughed about some headlines; including the infamous Koala incident with Liam – no they didn’t contract chlamydia from the animal. He was also asked about ‘Hobama’ which he is apparently sworn to the utmost secrecy about. He clearly enjoys the joke as much as the rest of us do. Out of all the crazy Harry headlines, his alleged affair with the president had to be one of the most outlandish, and also one that provided the funniest memes in the fandom.
The performance of ‘Sign of the Times’ was flawless, but we didn’t expect anything less. He is so talented and he’s put so much of himself into this song and his entire album. He wants fans to know that his music is an authentic look into who he is. Each time he performs as get more excited to hear his self titled album, his songs are so powerful.
