Harry Styles Rumoured to Star in ‘Dunkirk’

Harry Styles is rumoured to star in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film Dunkirk.

Deadline.com has reported that multiple sources have confirmed the 22-year-old’s role in the movie. According to them, Styles won’t be playing a lead role, but he is said to have impressed Nolan and Warner Bros with his readings at the audition. Deadline tried to contact Warnerbros, but the company declined to comment.

If Styles is taking part in Dunkirk, he will be joining Fionn Whitehead, Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance and Kenneth Branagh. Not many details have been released yet, but it is known that the movie will revolve around the evacuation of Dunkirk during the Second World War. During the evacuation, the British military saved over 330,000 Allied soldiers trapped in the harbor of Dunkirk, France and surrounded by the German army.

This isn’t the first time Styles has been offered a role in a film project. He has previously been offered a role in Justin Chadwick’s movie Tulip Fever, which he turned down. He is also rumoured to be starring in the second season of Scream Queens alongside Emma Roberts.

The filming for Dunkirk will start in May, so if Styles is in fact joining, it would be perfect timing while One Direction is on their break from touring and recording. Dunkirk will premiere in cinemas on July 21, 2017.
