Fast-rising prince of pop Henry Moodie speaks to those who find themselves at an emotional crossroads with the unveiling of his latest single, ‘fight or flight’.
Serving as the second chapter of a thrilling trilogy that kicked off with the release of ‘closure’ last month, the beautifully melodic track sees the ‘drunk text’ singer continue to develop his ever-evolving signature sound, it’s soaring, anthemic chorus and empathetic lyric demonstrating Moodie’s innate ability to capture how one feels through both melody and storytelling.
Commenting on the songs universal meaning, Henry says via a press release: “‘fight or flight’ is the second chapter of a 3-part trilogy about heartbreak. This one is for anyone who has ever been overwhelmed by a make-or-break point in a relationship, not knowing where things are heading and the inner turmoil you feel from that sense of instability.”

Arriving ahead of the stars extensive UK and European tour in Spring 2024, the singles accompanying music video – directed by boundary-defying filmmaker Samuel Douek – picks up where ‘closure’ left off.
Starring Heartstopper’s Bel Priestley, and Sex Education’s Olive Gray, alongside a host of actors from the LGBTQ+ community, the epic clip sees the diverse cast portray a love story about heartbreak that is told back to front, where love interests Bel and Olive are faced with grief or confrontation at an outrageous medieval banquet.
On working with Moodie, Douek says: “It was an honour to direct three films for Henry Moodie, and to work with Olive and Bel to tell a queer love story that isn’t represented enough in screen. One that isn’t about queer oppression but about the human reality of love and loss.”
