It’s almost the end of 2018, and with a new year on the horizon, Google has unveiled the top lists of the most Googled celebrities of this year. Whilst some celebs that made the list may seem obvious, others may come as a surprise.
The number one most searched for celebrity in the UK this year was Meghan Markle. It’s no wonder that the Duchess of Sussex topped the list, having married Prince Harry earlier this year, and also announcing her pregnancy with her first child back in October. She was also the second most searched for celebrity in the US.
Across the pond, Demi Lovato topped the list. The singer has struggled with substance abuse and suffered from an overdose earlier this year. She also came third in the UK list.
Actress Roxanne Pallett, who attracted controversy after accusing her fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemate Ryan Thomas of punching her, came second in the UK list.
Meanwhile, YouTube star Logan Paul made an entry in both the US and UK lists, at #4 and #8 respectively, whilst singer Ariana Grande appeared in the US list at #8. It’s been a pretty big year for the pair of them, with Logan undertaking a boxing match against fellow YouTuber KSI, and Ariana releasing her highly successful album ‘Sweetener’.
Some more surprising entries perhaps came from actor Sylvester Stallone, who was #9 in the UK list, and rapper Rick Ross, who made an appearance at #9 in the US list.
