By now the entire world will have listened to Taylor Swift’s comeback single ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ and by now the entire world will have also realised there’s an extremely familiar song being used for the chorus.
If you look on Wikipedia, it will show that the song has been written by Taylor Swift and Jack Antonoff, but there’s another writer who you may not have expected…
British band Right Said Fred have been credited, and it’s certainly left some people confused. This had people rather confused… Until it just clicked!
If you listen extremely closely to the chorus where Taylor is singing the lines “look what you made me do”, it is actually an interpolation melody from the number 2 hit 1991 song ‘I’m Too Sexy’!
Taylor and her team had reached out to Right Said Fred about using their track for ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ and the guys were happy to oblige. A rep for Taylor also clarified that the song doesn’t sample ‘Sexy’, it just interpolates the beat to go with hers.

Right Said Fred took to Twitter to thank Taylor for the song credits and called the song a ‘marvellous reinvention’.
