So, as a lot of us know 5 Seconds Of Summer dropped a tour movie a few weeks back called ‘How Did We End Up Here?’ This was the movie of their tour ‘Rock Out With Your Socks Out’, which also featured some other little snippets from back when they were younger.
The film covers back from when they were playing The Annandale Hotel in Australia all the way up to the recent tour and their making of their second album Sounds Good Feels Good.
The boys talk about each other and how they feel about each other, making you care for their friendship more than anything.
The film crew follows them all the way through the tour, going from London, to Paris and a lot of other countries.
Throughout artists including the Madden Brothers, Red Hot Chilli Peppers drummer Chad Smith, All Time Low’s Alex Gaskarth and Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz talk about the 5SOS boys journey in their eyes and what they see them as and their music. John Feldman is a big part of the movie as there are many points in which he talks about each member of the band and talks about how each of them works.
It includes, sadly, the part in the Wembley show where guitarist Michael Clifford had his accident with the pyrotechnics in which he was hit in the face with a flame. It then shows backstage the paramedics and how he was reacting to everything, which seemed to really break the hearts of the fans.
All in all, the film gives you a serious insight on how hard it is to be a artist in the face of the media, but also how rewarding it can be. This film is something lovers of real in-depth live music as well as the fans. It is also something that shows how humble the 5SOS boys are and how hard they’ve worked to get into the position that they are today.
