Hot off the heels of wrapping his latest two projects, the much hyped revival of the TV series Twin Peaks and Taylor Sheridan’s new movie Wind River, Hugh Dillon announced via Twitter, that he is to take a 6 week role in the science fiction series The Expanse – it aired its 1st season on Demand and SyFy network and now has been renewed for a 2nd.

Set in the future where humanity has colonized the solar system; United Nations executive Chrisjen Avasarala (Shohreh Aghdashloo), police detective Miller (Thomas Jane), and ship’s officer Jim Holden (Steven Strait), try to unravel a conspiracy that threatens peace across the System and the survival of humanity.
Based on a series of novels by James S. A. Corey and set 200 years in the future, police detective Josephus Miller – born in the astroid system, is given the assignment to find a missing young woman, Julie Andromeda Mao (Florence Faivre). Meanwhile, James Holden, the Executive Officer of the ice trawler Canterbury, is involved in a tragic incident that threatens to destabilize Earth, Mars and the Belt.
Far away from their struggles in space, Chrisjen Avasarala is working to prevent war between Earth and Mars by any means necessary – but soon, the three find out that the missing woman and the ice trawler’s fate are part of a vast conspiracy that threatens all humanity.
Frankie Adams plays Martian Marine Bobbie Draper who has followed the same career as her father. At an early age, she joined the Corps and is also a new cast member of season 2 where Dillon will play the role of her commanding officer.
Not content with taking on this role for the next 6 weeks, Dillon will also be unleashing his other ultra ego; the front man of his band the Headstones who are performing at the Sound of Music Festival on the 11th of June in Burlington. Shortly after, he’ll then be packing his bags, grabbing his passport and winging his way to Hungary to revise his role of Col. Duncan Sinclair in the 3rd season of WWII drama X Company.
So between time traveling 200 years into the future, and then back to the 1940’s, Hugh Dillon is having quite a commanding year!
