Last year we introduced CelebMix readers to Peterborough trio Idolising Nova after catching them on tour in Europe with The Vamps. Having been following their journey ever since they’ve kicked off their 2019 with new music in the form of Run Away.
Produced by Sugar House (the team who’ve worked with the likes of Pale Waves and Viola Beach) and mixed by James K Lewis (Rudimental, Charli XCX, Jess Glynne), this great team when mixed with the great talents of the trio has resulted in an incredibly catchy piece of indie pop.
When listening to the Run Away but also looking back on tracks such as You Told Me You Could Dance, it becomes apparent that a fun, sing-along chorus is a staple of every Idolising Nova track. Within no time you’ll find yourself singing along to ‘I can’t see a future here for anyone‘, listen to the track below and you’ll see what we mean! There’s a firm dose of techno twinged sounds sampled on this track, trying out something a little different which entwine perfectly with explosive guitar lines. Think a funkier version of Bastille and this is what Idolising Nova have created with Run Away.
If you like what you hear, you can catch Idolising Nova playing at O2 Academy2 Islington in London on 31st May. For further details and to purchase tickets head here.
