With social media enabling us to discover new music at the click of a button, we are very much spoilt for choice when it comes to unsigned artists these days. However, every so often someone extra special comes along, with raw talent, emotion and passion in abundance that blows you away with their vocals.
David Mark Bulley is one of those people. A 22 year old singer songwriter originating from Liverpool, David has captured the hearts of many in the UK and worldwide with his music. Having been singing and performing from a young age, music has always been David’s biggest passion in life.
In 2014, David released his A Thousand Bonfires EP, featuring five very personal songs full of emotion and hope – he strives to release music which he’s put his heart and soul into. As with many artists, David’s been through some extremely difficult times in his life but he always manages to turn any negatives or painful experiences into positives, inspiring many with his music.
As a lover of many artists too, David has posted several covers on YouTube, showcasing his gorgeous vocals whilst putting his own spin on some of his favourite songs. One cover that must be mentioned is his stunning version of Demi Lovato’s “Cool For The Summer”, it’s such a moving version of a great song!
2015 saw David come into his own, touring across the UK supporting many artists including Tom Mann and Joey Devries. This gave him some great exposure and a chance to perform his music in front of packed out audiences in venues across the country. He’ll be supporting Tom Mann once again in January 2016 on some dates of the FTN tour.
David has also made a big name for himself in other countries, particularly in Poland where the support for him is growing at a super fast pace. Having done some meet ups and gigs of his own earlier this year, David returned to Poland in November for the Young Stars Tour, alongside Bars and Melody. With the tour being a mighty success, David will be returning again in March next year for more Young Stars tour dates.
Not only is his music brilliant, but he’s a genuinely nice guy too. As much as every artist appreciates the support they get, David does go above and beyond for his fans and tries to keep in contact with everyone as much as possible over social media. He’s also a great role model for his fans – his principles are second to none and he always tries to inspire his fans and constantly remind them to follow their dreams. There’s a song that he often sings during shows called ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’, which he always dedicates to a fan in the audience to inspire them to keep going when they’re going through a difficult time.
It’s refreshing to see someone who remains so genuine and down-to-earth. So many unsigned artists get ideas above their stations very quickly and fail to stay grounded, but it’s clear to see how much David appreciates every opportunity that has come his way and works very hard to ensure that he is able to continue living the dream.
On Saturday, David released his single “Lions”, an upbeat and inspiring track, encouraging all to show the world what you’re made of as we will be lions. David tweeted the following about the song just before its release.

2016 is set to be an extremely exciting time for David, with more new music on the way as well as plenty of gigs in the UK and beyond. Most excitingly, David will be undergoing his own headline shows, ‘The Black Rainbow Tour’, giving him the opportunity to do what he loves most by performing his music to fans everywhere.
