After being called a “songstress on the rise” by Candid Magazine and “a real inspiration” by Huffington Post, London-based alt-pop solo artist, Ella on The Run, is definitely an artist to watch.
Right after studying at Berklee College of Music in the US, she began recording as Ella on The Run with producers from Interscope Records. Her laid back vocals and synth pop vibes have already gained her attention and airplay on BBC Radio 1 in the UK with her previous EP, ‘War of Worlds’.
This October, Ella on The Run released her new single, ‘Cavalry’. This song should be on every synth-pop/alt-pop lover’s playlist. It has enough of the vibe to compare it to other alt-pop artists such as Banks or Charlotte OC but not completely. ‘Cavalry’ has a slightly more pop feeling with rock undertones while Banks has more of an R&B vibe & Charlotte OC has more soulful vibes. Her EP showed more electronic pop sounds. Ella on the Run definitely has a sound of her own that will make her stand out amongst other artists in her genre.
