ionnalee released her second album this weekend and we’re completely obsessed with everything this album represents.
Her self-produced album, Remember the Future, premiered on Nylon on May 31 and has been highly anticipated by her fans. Her two singles off the album, “Open Sea” and “Some Body,” were well-received by fans and critics alike.
ionnalee’s sophomore solo release (and seventh musical album within the last 10 years) is full of some insanely dream-like songs. Check out the full tracklist:
I am really proud of this album. Writing and producing it last year was a playful and spontaneous process, quite different from any of the seven albums I’ve made. I’ve been exploring sounds, harmonies and frequencies without prestige or set deadlines, letting my mind and body wander freely and experience music like I did when I was a kid. I made the album with aim to be a small beacon of light for my nearest ones who are currently struggling to look forward, and as a reminder to those who follow my work to remember the dream.

We’re totally obsessed with the mellowed-out vocals on “WIPE IT OFF,” the teasing and fun vibe of “RACE AGAINST” and the beautiful layering on “I KEEP.”
