Three months ago, Ira Losco performed on the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. Showing a small baby bump whilst on stage performing her song “Walk On Water”.
On Facebook, she announced that she was pregnant on 8 May, days before the contest.
Ira Losco gave birth to a baby boy last night at Mater Dei Hospital in Malta.
Her partner, Sean Gravina, announced this news on his Facebook this morning. He thanked the hospital staff and announced that the baby will be named Harry.
Hours later, Ira Losco followed up with a Facebook post of her own; as well as a picture of her newly born son Harry.
The Maltese Prime Minister, Joseph Muscat, as well as his opposition, Simon Busuttil, have both sent congratulations to the couple on Twitter.

Ira Losco has represented Malta twice in the Eurovision Song Contest. The first time was with “7th Wonder” back in 2002, where she finished second; and in 2016 with “Walk On Water” where she came twelfth.
In June she revealed on Twitter that she is recording a new studio album which will no doubt be out soon.
