Are you in Berlin at the beginning of next month? Then you are in luck: the Ja Ja Ja event series is coming back for another round!
The best part about it? It has just announced its line-up and it sounds just as promising as the last one.
The concept for the show on the 4th of October continues to follow the already-known rules: Three artists from three different Nordic countries are invited on stage. They each get about 30 minutes to showcase their talents at the FluxBau in Berlin, Germany. All of them record music that is, in one way or another, completely different from each other but absolutely stunning nonetheless. And all of them have already received big praises by outlets such as Highsnobiety or the Complex Magazine in the past.
So: who are we going to see live specifically?
First, there is the talented Norwegian Jakob Ogawa. He produces mellow music made for everything relaxing. With his breathy vocals and his soulful production, he takes us on a blissful journey with every single track. If we had to put an image to it, we would see a nice summer evening right by a Californian ocean, the soft wind blowing in our face, a nice drink in our hand. Happiness in our hearts. Listen to “All Your Love” down below and get in the mood for Jakob’s performance:
Then there is the lovely Swedish singer ORKID. She is an upcoming electro-pop artist from the cold North. For whatever reason, she hasn’t had her breakthrough yet. Even though everything about her screams “what a talent”. She is probably the most pop out of all of the artists and you know how much we love a good pop singer. Deep, thumping beats and a chorus that forces you to sing along to it -because it is just that good- round up each track into a cute little gem. Listen to “Wasted” down below in order to prepare your dance moves:
Last but not least, there is the Danish noise-rock trio The Entrepreneurs. Fresh after getting signed, they are readying their debut album. The Entrepreneurs happily mix up the genres and create a vibrant blend of punk, grunge and post-rock. Filled with high-tempo beats and riffs that will get everyone head-banging at one point, you can expect to have a lot of fun during this performance. Listen to “Brutal Summer” to get your rock on:
The next Ja Ja Ja in Berlin is held on the 4th of October. Doors open at 8pm, while the first artist is expected around 8:30 or 9. You can purchase your tickets here if you would like to. Be sure to also follow Ja Ja Ja on Facebook for all updates and news.
