Jaden Smith has spoken out in defence of Justin Bieber following the news that Bieber was to cancel the remainder of his Purpose World Tour.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight in America, Jaden said “he’s totally fine and I love him.”
“He’s just an amazing guy – life is hard, you know? We all go through things but the difference between other people is that no one knows about it.”
“It’s really difficult for people like Justin or me or all types of people in the limelight. When you go through things, people find out and that makes it harder for you than the actual reality of what is happening.”
“It makes it so much harder that everybody knows about it than the actual situation.”
In a statement released last month, representatives for Justin Bieber revealed that the popstar would no longer be playing scheduled dates in North America and the Far East due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
“Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them.” the statement read.
“However, after careful consideration he has decided he will not be performing any further dates.”
Following somewhat of an online backlash and relentless speculation in the media, Justin later took to Instagram to explain, in his own words, just why he decided to cancel the remainder of his tour.

Jaden is not the only star to come out in support of Justin.
When news broke of the tours cancellation, musician John Mayor took to Twitter telling his followers “when someone pulls remaining dates of a tour, it means they would have done real damage to themselves if they kept going.”
Jennifer Lopez’s former flame Casper Smart has also spoken out in support of Bieber.
“Things just happen like that. I know it sucks for everybody that was looking forward to it (his tour) and bought tickets and stuff, but at the cost of what? At the cost of him? The cost of his sanity? His body, his mind, his emotions, his soul, his physicality?”
Jaden Smith and Justin Bieber have long been friends and collaborators, having grown up in the industry together.
The duo first worked together on the track ‘Never Say Never’ which featured on the soundtrack to the 2010 movie The Karate Kid, in which Jaden also starred.
The track also appeared on Justin’s second remix album ‘Never Say Never: The Remixes’ as well as in the 3D concert movie of the same name.
