Jamie Mathias releases anthemic and authentic new single ‘Who We Are’

With his catchy and candid new single, Jamie Mathias is reminding us that it’s always best to be honest with each other in a relationship. ‘Who We Are’ is arguably his best song to date!

The sincere track features an explosive chorus that would fill even the grandest of stadiums. To coincide with the release, Jamie has released a stunning music video. He co-wrote the song itself with Paul Whalley, Nick Bradley and Gustav Wood.

Speaking to us exclusively about his new single, Jamie Mathias said: “‘Who We Are’ was written the week before the first lockdown last year and was written about a particular testing time in a relationship which very sadly recently came to an end. It’s about the realisation that a couple aren’t fundamentally right for each other and the cracks beginning to appear and deepen as time goes on. There are certain characteristics that you cannot change and certain problems that can’t be fixed even when you have all of the love and respect for that person in the world. It’s about being honest with each other and not just staying together because thought of change and being alone is scary.

‘Who We Are’ is available here on all digital platforms. The song is Jamie’s first cut from his forthcoming EP and it follows his uplifting standalone single ‘Light Up‘ which dropped back in January. Make sure you also check out Jamie’s incredible 2020 releases!

2021 is off to a fantastic start for Jamie Mathias. With two strong singles under his belt and more music on the way soon, the Brighton-based singer-songwriter continues to go from strength to strength. Keep Jamie on your radar by following him on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
