Following the second week of Live Shows, which had the theme of ‘Guilty Pleasures,’ Janice Robinson and The LMA Choir have become the next two contestants to leave ‘The X Factor.’

On Saturday night, the remaining contestants took to the stage to perform for the Judges – comprising of Simon Cowell, Louis Tomlinson, Ayda Field-Williams and Robbie Williams – and the nation.

Janice Robinson performed ‘Show Me Love’ by Robin Schulz on Saturday night. She managed to put her own unique spin on the track and her performance was filled with energy and enthusiasm. Unfortunately, her performance wasn’t enough to secure her a place in the competition and she became the first act to be immediately voted out of the competition.

Host Dermot O’Leary went on to reveal that The LMA Choir and Brendan Murray were the two contestants with the least amount of public votes and would be competing against each other in the sing-off, in a bid to save their place in the competition.

Both contestants gave phenomenal performances and truly fought for their place in the competition, but after deliberation, Judge Ayda Field-Williams sent the vote to Deadlock, meaning that the contestants’ fate came down to the public vote. The LMA Choir were thus sent home.

On Saturday night, The LMA Choir performed an impressive version of Tina Turner hit ‘Proud Mary.’ During their time on the show, as a choir, they brought something that the competition has never seen before and it was evident that they had a special bond.
