Jax Releases Music Video for “Ring Pop”

Known for being a finalist on American idol in 2015, Jax has been using her time in quarantine very wisely, going viral with song parodies on TikTok!

Using her beautiful voice, amazing sense of humor, and talented songwriting skills, Jax managed to get the attention of Atlantic Records, and signed a record deal with them. And the best part? She was able to be herself and not change a thing. Now she’s excelling her talent and writing some brand new original music, such as her new single “Ring Pop,” which is out now along with a music video for it!

Jax recorded the song about being broke and in love. She told her fans, “My real life boyfriend and I binge watched Tiger King while secretly panicking about paying rent. We joked a lot about buying each other wedding rings on eBay with our stimulus checks. For whoever needs to hear this, I’m not gonna tell you that money means nothing. But being in love with your best friend is worth more than anything.”

Jax also told her fans that if all they’re doing is ordering Taco Bell in sweatpants with their person this Valentine’s Day, they’re rich. And we couldn’t agree more with that! Sometimes it’s truly the little things that matter the most.

To make things even more iconic, the music video for “Ring Pop” stars Devon Werkheiser, known for being on Nickelodeon’s series Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide. Aka, her childhood crush. Funny how things work out, right?

Hi! I'm Mel. I graduated with a BA in print journalism with music management as my minor. I loved music since I was a kid because it was always a way my family and I bonded, as well as a way to express myself on my own time as I got older. I’m not a singer and I don’t play an instrument, so my way of being part of the music industry is by getting to write about the music I love in various reviews and through my concert photography. Another goal? To make people smile.
