The city of dreams, glitz and glamor is oftentimes a place for sacrifice, rejection and hardships. This place is known as Hollywood, an entertainment playground where hopes and careers are often cast aside. Actress and singer Sydney Agunong aka Jayne Doe profiles just that, as well as the mental fortitude it takes in pursuing a dream, in her new single “Welcome To Hollywood”.
The Hawaiian born and raised musician has unleashed a solid debut effort with “Welcome To Hollywood”. From the poignant and candid narrative, to the whimsical guitar riff, seductive melody and soulful vocals, “Welcome To Hollywood” is an impressive and important alternative pop song. Jayne Doe’s music can draw comparisons to Olivia Rodrigo, Lorde and Taylor Janzen.
In addition to her blossoming music career, the artist is a seasoned actress, starring in the likes of the feature film West Michigan and as a recurring guest on the Netflix series On My Block. The multi-instrumentalist further lent her voice, singing on the trailer to the Kauai made film Too Much Life. With more music in the works, we can’t wait to hear what is next from this exciting up and coming pop songwriter.
