On Saturday, it was revealed on the San Diego Comic Con DC panel that The Flash was going to become a movie called “Flashpoint.”
Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan played Batman’s parents, Thomas and Martha Wayne respectively in the Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice movie, and if you’re a big fan of DC, you may already know that these two play a very big role in Flashpoint.
The Flashpoint storyline follows Barry Allen going back in time to save his mother from being murdered, however, the present day after his success is entirely different and isn’t a pretty one. The Justice League no longer exists and the robbery of the Wayne family takes a heartbreaking turn when Bruce Wayne is murdered, ultimately leaving his father Thomas to take over his place as Batman whilst his mother, Martha, becomes the Joker.
Whilst this is all just speculation as of right now, Jeffrey Dean Morgan teased fans both on Twitter with the caption “Did you say… Flashpoint” and Instagram with a fan drawn photo of himself and Lauren as Batman and the Joker. Jeffrey has expressed interest in taking part in the Flashpoint project after having a taste of the role in Dawn of Justice and that could now well and truly become a reality.
