London born and Los Angeles residing soul/pop singer Jenny JAM returns with “Big Lonely Cloud”, a highly relatable anthem about trying to overcome loneliness and loss.
The singer had just returned from the U.K., having nearly lost her mother to leukemia and on the cusp of the global pandemic. The poignant new track offers a glimpse inside one’s head when they are overcoming trauma and depression. Through powerful drum beats, soaring emotive vocals and a climatic chorus, the listener can feel the pain as well as the hope for better things to come in Jenny JAM’s invigorating new track.
The accompanying visuals were filmed entirely on iphones during the height of the pandemic lockdown in Los Angeles. Jenny JAM enlisted help from her roommates, who are filmmakers, who were able to perfectly capture the intense feelings and emotions of the song. The visuals perfectly depict the Covid lockdown with scenes of the singer being trapped alone by a window and stressed out on a rooftop removed from the busy downtown streets. The intense visuals mirror the powerful message of the song perfectly.
Jenny JAM exploded onto the scene in 2019 with her debut single “Morning Bottle”. She further released the vintage soul inspired “Better Than You”, which drew attention for its Jazzy soundscapes and 60s girl group inspired vocals. Known for her dynamic vocal performance and candid storytelling lyrics, Jenny JAM is an artist on the rise. The songwriter has partnered with acclaimed producer Ikuma Matsuda to create a unique fusion of anthems that incorporate pop, soul, and rock. On her music, Jenny JAM aims for her music to empower others, stating “Always stay true to yourself and believe in you, then you will rise out of the ashes no matter what”.
