Jessie J is the latest superstar to take part in Sounds Like Friday Night’s ‘Gig in a Minute’ challenge.
The concept is simple – each artist gets 60 seconds to perform as many of their hits as possible. Sounds easy, right? Little Mix and Gary Barlow have recently taken on the challenge, whilst last week’s competitors Chic and Nile Rodgers managed to set a new record with an impressive 13 songs.
How did Jessie J get on? Well, the vocal powerhouse kicked things off with her breakthrough hit ‘Do It Like A Dude’. During the 60 seconds, Jessie also treated us to the likes of ‘Price Tag’, ‘Domino’, and ‘Masterpiece’. The last seven seconds saw Jessie take it home by showcasing her iconic vocals with ‘Bang Bang’ before rounding things up with ‘Burnin’ Up’.
Running through an impressive 14 songs in total, it’s safe to say that Jessie J nailed the challenge with ease. Check out her attempt below.
Earlier this month, Jessie J became the first international artist to take part in, and win, China’s singing competition Singer. She won with 48% of the vote after performing some of her original material during the competition, in addition to cover tracks such as her breathtaking version of Whitney Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You’.

Taking to Instagram after winning the show, Jessie spoke about how proud she was to represent the UK and to be a part of breaking boundaries between the two countries.
“I know a lot of people were shocked when they found out. Like why would I compete in a singing competition… I’m probably the least competitive person I know. I said yes because I LOVE to do the unexpected and I LOVE to represent the UK and singing everywhere I go. I LOVE to sing. But also it was an opportunity to bridge a gap between two cultures.
“For them to see a western performer and hear music some had never heard before and visa versa. For the performances to be seen by millions outside of China and visa versa. And those people to discover the show was the best part. The respect being shown for both cultures and the love was -heart emoji – Seeing the boundaries break down and the rules be shifted made this whole experience incredible.
“China is an amazing place and so different to anywhere I have ever been. I have never been made to feel more welcomed and loved as I have done here.”
