On May 16, 2015, Daniel made his first big appearance on Joey’s channel. Daniel was Joey’s co-star and love interest in the Don’t Wait music video. With the pair kissing at the end of the video, it left Joey’s followers wondering.
On May 18, 2015, Joey also released an emotional video confirming that he was gay. After releasing the video, Joey got a lot of support from his viewers. The video currently has over 7 million views.
After the release, Daniel started showing up in more of Joey’s videos. Fans even gave them the ship name, Janiel. However, neither Joey or Daniel would confirm the relationship.
Finally on February 14, 2016, they decided to it was time to announce their love. They released a video telling the viewers their love story. As a result, Joey and Daniel received a lot of love and support of thief relationship.
