WWE Superstar John Cena has given $500,000 to help support first responders battling the fires in California and been named Cybersmiles  “Cybersmiler of the month” for October.

John Cena joins the likes of Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and WWE legend Dwayne Johnson in receiving the much coveted Cybersmiler of the Month Award.

Not only did John pledge his own money to the first responders who have been battling the large forest fires around Los Angeles and San Francisco  and the severe weather conditions, power cuts and property damage, causing many residents to be lose or be displaced from their homes.

John made the announcement on First Responders Day, on a video posted to his Twitter account, in which he encouraged his fans to also support them in any way they could.

I’m asking that today on #FirstRespondersDay we do everything we can to help those who risk their lives to protect us all. pic.twitter.com/aJOmO4hkCw

The personal donation was made on behalf of the cast of “Playing with Fire” which he stars in and will be released in November by Paramount Pictures. John became aware of the first responders’ hard work while promoting the movie, which is related to working in the fire service.

Paramount Pictures  publicly thanked John Cena for his commitment and selected the California Fire Foundation and the Los Angeles Department Foundation to receive the donations.

Two incredible choices. @LAFDFoundation and @CAFireFound … on behalf of Paramount and the cast of #PlayingWithFireMovie, a total of $500K is coming your way. Thank you for what you do. Help is on the way!!! https://t.co/SHz8uPFDMe
