It’s that time of year again – Capital’s Summertime Ball will be returning to London’s Wembley Stadium once more on June 8.

Earlier this morning the first six artists were confirmed but instead of breakfast hosts Roman Kemp, Vick Hope and Sonny Jay just announcing the names of the performers, it was up to the public to tell them who was on the line up.

The six artists appeared on ‘ballboards’ across the country, with members of the public then texting or tweeting Capital to say who they’d spotted.

The first artist to be found and confirmed was Mark Ronson, who will be bringing massive hits including ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’, ‘Electricity’, and ‘Uptown Funk’ to the Ball.

How loud are you gonna be singing 'Nothing Breaks Like a Heart', @KierenB1? ? https://t.co/Tt4L5gi2fO

Next up to be revealed were 5 Seconds of Summer, who will be returning to the Wembley Stadium stage for the first time since their Ball debut in 2014.

.@5SOS literally put the 'summer' into #CapitalSTB, which is why they *have* to be there. ?? https://t.co/FnLcOT1omz pic.twitter.com/lbnw0Udj2H

Ellie Goulding was revealed next, and we can’t wait to see her bring her incredible discography to Wembley Stadium.

Making his Ball debut, ‘Young, Dumb & Broke’ singer Khalid was the fourth artist to be confirmed this morning.

Can we just talk about how good @thegreatkhalid is going to be at this year's #CapitalSTB? ? https://t.co/FnLcOT1omz pic.twitter.com/N87fLxsezR

Whilst Capital was busy announcing the confirmed artists on the radio, Twitter was Burnin’ Up over a ballboard found in Brighton which revealed that the Jonas Brothers will also be performing this year. This will be their first UK/European performance in 10 years and will follow the release of their album Happiness Begins, which drops the day before on June 7.

don't mind me. i'm just over here Burnin' Up over the thought of the actual second @jonasbrothers step on the #CapitalSTB stage… ??? https://t.co/jP9mSoNeKy

The final artist to be revealed today was ‘Without Me’ star Halsey, who will be bringing the sass to the Wembley stage.

    Forget 'Him & I'. It's just gonna be you and @halsey at the #CapitalSTB, eh? ? https://t.co/QwDeHbTnF6

It already looks sensational, however, even more names will be added to Capital’s Summertime Ball line up over the coming days, with six more to be revealed tomorrow.

Tickets for this year’s Summertime Ball go on general sale at 8am on Thursday. Full information and access to a pre-sale can be found here.
