The ‘Snowden’ trailer starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt is finally here!

The wait is over! The trailer for Snowden starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt is finally out and we couldn’t be happier. This has been one of the most talked about projects for last few months.

The news was reported by The Fan Story.

Directed by Oliver Stone, the movie stars some big names such as Shailene Woodley, Melissa Leo, Zachary Quinto, Tom Wilkinson, Rhys Ifans, and Nicolas Cage. The film will finally be released on September 16th.

“The film tells the story of Edward Snowden (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a gifted son of a family steeped in military and civil service who enlisted in the Army Reserve as a Special Forces candidate, worked for the Central Intelligence Agency, and acted as a contractor for the U.S. federal government. Stone’s focus in Snowden, however, is directed toward the controversial figure’s theft and disclosure of classified National Security Agency information.”

Edward Snowden, the controversial whistleblower, garnered the world’s attention when he leaked NSA illegal activities through his site WikiLeaks which made him the most wanted man in the world. Hailed as a hero by some and a traitor by others, it will be interesting to watch what Stone has in store for his audience. Check out the trailer:

Movies based on real life have always worked onscreen. Social Network was a major hit and so was Into the Wild. The Snowden trailer looks compelling, so let’s see how it turns out to be.
