Here at CelebMix, we love introducing our readers to new and exciting artists – after all, music is what we’re all about! This week, we’re super pumped to premiere the music video for Juliana Hale’s catchy new single, Overrated. Trust us: one listen, and this song won’t leave your head!
Juliana dropped the single at the Leather & Laces Super Bowl pre-party earlier this year, an event hosted by Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy. She performed alongside artists like Flo Rida, Brandi Cyrus, and DJ Automatic.
Overrated is taken from her upcoming EP Small Talk, which is released on May 11. The EP is produced by Grammy Award-winner Skidd Mills and Independent Music Award winner Billy Dawson. The EP will include tracks like the divaesque ‘Small Talk’, catchy ‘Anthem’, moody ‘Mannequin’ and the sonically-adventurous single ‘Overrated’.
Speaking of the new single, Juliana said: “Overrated is a unique and danceable pop song inspired by a complicated breakup in my past. The guy I was dating didn’t really know what he wanted. I wrote the song at the point when I decided the whole situation just felt ‘Overrated’”.
