Justin Bieber and Rihanna have been announced as the headliners for this year’s V Festival.

The festival, which celebrates its 21st birthday this year, takes place across Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire on 20 and 21 August 2016.

Making his V Festival debut, Justin Bieber will be headlining Hylands Park on the 20th and Weston Park on the 21st, whilst Rihanna will be headlining the parks on the alternate days. With Justin’s success in the UK recently, there is no doubt that he will draw in massive crowds to this year’s festival, especially as it will be his only UK festival performance this year. Rihanna last performed at the festival five years ago but will return this year, bringing her ‘Anti World Tour’ to the crowds – this will also be her only UK festival performance this year.

Justin will be joined by Australian songstress Sia whilst Rihanna will be joined by superstar DJ David Guetta. Also performing on the Virgin Media stage are Bastille, Little Mix, John Newman and Jess Glynne.

Other artists confirmed to perform over the weekend are: Faithless, Kaiser Chiefs, Years and Years, Jake Bugg, Craig David, Rita Ora, Tinie Tempah, Example, Katy B, Halsey, Troye Sivan, Travis, James Morrison, DNCE, Foxes, Fleur East, All Saints, Soul II Soul, Lethal Bizzle, Sigma and Big Sean.

V Festival are going all out with its stellar line up for its 21st birthday and tickets are likely to sell out quickly. Of course, this is just the start of the line up, with many more to be announced over four stages and the Glee Club comedy tent.

Tickets go on general sale at 9:30am on Friday 22nd February and you can find out more information here.
