Exciting news! Canadian superstar Justin Bieber has confirmed that he is hoping to work with pop superstar Cheryl on a record later this year.
The two singers previously met backstage at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Bangor North Wales in 2010, and Bieber has made no secret of his desire to work with the songstress in the past. But due to their hectic work schedules the exciting collaboration has never come to fruition.
But this could all change very soon, with Justin confirming that a possible duet is on the cards this year.
Talking in Miami to the Daily Star Online the Biebs said: “With our commitments we have never managed to make it work.
“Though I saw her a couple of weeks back, and now she has left her role on The X Factor, I think this year will finally be the year we are able to record together.
“It’s something we both want to do.”
At the moment Cheryl is hard at work in the recording studio working on her fifth studio album, the follow up to her 2014 hit ‘Only Human’. So it is possible that a duet with Justin Bieber could feature on her new LP, and may even be the lead single from her upcoming record.
If this collaboration comes off it would be one of the biggest duets pop music has ever seen. And it would make for an epic performance during the live shows of The X Factor.
