Trending on Twitter last night, and still trending this morning, #jbforjodie has become an international plea for help started by the devastated friends of 14 year old Jodie-Lee Daniels from Derry, Ireland.
Along with four members of her family, Jodie died on Sunday night after their car tragically slid off Buncrana pier, leaving only one survivor a four month old baby girl. In his final moments Sean handed his baby daughter out of the car window to a brave man who had dived in to try and help the family. Speaking on behalf of the family, Jim McGotty brother of Sean, publicly thanked the brave man who swam into the sea to help.
Friends of Jodie have started an international campaign to get noticed by Jodie’s idol, Justin Bieber, stating that it was Jodie’s dream to one day meet him. With the hope of Justin noticing the trend in memory of Jodie, her friends are asking everyone on Twitter to go and post “#jbforjodie @justinbieber”.
Friends, family, and fans of heartthrob Bieber have all come together, and #jbforjodie has been the top trend in England all evening and through to this morning. Her friends are encouraging people to continue tweeting the hashtag until Justin notices it.
From everyone here at CelebMix, our thoughts are with all of the family and friends at this devastating time.
