Justin Timberlake is set to release new music for the first time in over five years on January 25.
The “Cry Me a River” singer recently announced on social media that he’s sharing a new single with fans titled “Selfish” after much anticipation. And although the track is new, it won’t be some fans first time hearing it…
A group of lucky concertgoers had the chance to hear the song live during a performance at the Orpheum Theater in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, on January 19.
Clips from the show have already gone viral on social media.
During show, JT also teased another unreleased track titled “Angels” and even had a throwback moment with “Gone” with one of his *NSYNC bandmates, Chris Kirkpatrick, in attendance. This comes after *NSYNC reunited briefly in September of last year for the track “Better Place” off of the Trolls Band Together soundtrack.
“Selfish” is expected to appear on Timberlake’s sixth studio album, ‘Everything I Thought It Was,’ although the singer has yet to confirm the project’s release date.
The record follows the release of his last album, ‘Man of the Woods,’ which topped the charts back in 2018. A trailer for the project, which includes narration from the one and only Benicio Del Toro, instantly sent fans into a frenzy once it was released online.
There’s a lot for fans of Timberlake to be looking forward to right now, especially after going through quite a drought for half of a decade. In addition to the release of his new single, he is also scheduled to perform on Saturday Night Live on January 27 and will make an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on January 25.
Fans can stay up to date with Timberlake on social media as he reveals more information about his upcoming album.
