Justin Timberlake has just pulled a Beyonce on us! About to embark on the European leg of his Man of the Woods Tour, Timberlake just dropped a surprise single, ‘SoulMate.’
After posting a picture of himself in the recording studio in the Bahamas on Monday, fans were speculating new music would be arriving soon. They just didn’t know how soon.
Then on Tuesday morning, Timberlake posted a video of himself in Paris with the caption, “watch until the end” where his phone starts playing a song with the lyrics “Summer starts now.” Many fans thought that would be the title of the song.
Timberlake then posted a picture on Twitter with no caption, which led to a lot of confusion. Was he just being cheeky or was it a promo for new music? Fans didn’t have to wait long to find out.
Just minutes before he took to the stage in Paris, ‘SoulMate’ was released on Tidal, iTunes, and YouTube worldwide.
After some criticism on his album Man of the Woods, this single is the perfect thing to be released right now. It is a blend between summer love and a dance track to blast while driving.
Can fans expect the “Say Something” singer to add this new bop to his setlist? We will have to find out.
